San Juanita is a graduate of Texas Tech University & TTU Health Sciences Center from which she obtained a bachelors degree and masters in education, and then returned for a bachelors in speech, language, and hearing sciences and masters in speech language pathology. She has over 15 years of experience working with children. First as a teacher and her most recent years as a bilingual speech language pathologist in the Houston area. San Juanita specializes in feeding disorders in infants and children with a history of tethered oral tissues and complex medical diagnoses, sensory feeding preferences, childhood apraxia of speech, augmentative and alternative communication, and myofunctional disorders. She is committed to finding the root cause of her patients' difficulties to help them and their families improve their quality of life so they can feed safely, communicate functionally, and advocate confidently for their needs.
